MARRIAGE CEREMONY

US BBQ RECEPTION

2) What is the dress code?

• For the Belgian celebration, formal attire is requested – dress to impress!

• For the US BBQ reception, dressy casual - think family reunion.

3) When should I RSVP by?

• For the Belgian celebrations, please let us know if you can attend our wedding by July 1st, 2025

• For the US BBQ reception, please let us know if you can join by August 1st, 2025

4) Can I bring a plus-one?

• Due to space limitations, all invited guests, including plus-ones, will be listed on the invitation. While we would love to celebrate with everyone, we appreciate your understanding. 

5) Are children allowed?

• In Belgium, children are welcome at the church ceremony and the short reception immediately following. However, the evening reception will be an adults-only event to ensure a relaxed atmosphere for all guests. Thank you for your cooperation!

• For the US BBQ Reception, we are happy to welcome children! Please note the venue is a park, we kindly ask children to be supervised at all times for their safety. 

6) Are there nearby hotels?

BELGIUM

• There is limited space at Hotel Otus near the reception venue, however, we encourage visitors to explore the many options in Ghent and then carpool/Uber/public transit to/from the reception.

UNITED STATES 

• There is a block arranged for guests at the Radisson Hotel - River Falls, learn more on the travel page.

7) Is transportation provided?

We’re still finalizing the details and will update this page as soon as we have more information. For now, we encourage guests to carpool to the reception and take an Uber or taxi home. Stay tuned for updates! 

8) Where can I park my car? 

BELGIUM

• Church Ceremony: There is limited street parking available (be sure to enter your license plate information at a kiosk); however, we recommend parking at Ramen Parking located a short 6-minute walk away. 

• Reception: There is limited parking at the reception with plenty of street parking along the road near the site. 

UNITED STATES

• There is plenty of parking available at the center.

9) What are the nearest airports/train stations?

Please see the travel page for details on all modes of transportation. 

BELGIUM 

• St. Pietersstation - Main Train Station of Ghent

• Kwatrecht Train Station - 500m from the evening venue

UNITED STATES

• Train is not an ideal option, however, we recommend flying into Minneapolis Airport (MSP) and renting a car. 

10) What is the timeline for the day?

BELGIUM

• 11.00 AM - 12.00 PM   Church Ceremony

• 12.00 PM - 01.30 PM Reception at church

• 01.30 PM - 04.00 PM The newlyweds go on a photoshoot with the wedding party, guests are welcome to check into hotels and rest

• 05.30 PM - 06.30 PM Cocktail hour

• 06.30 PM - 9.30 PM Dinner

• 9.30 PM - 04.00  AM Party

UNITED STATES

• The reception will begin at 11:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM, with food available throughout the event. To keep with the wedding spirit, we’ll be cutting the cake around noon. Guests are welcome to come and go as they please.

We're excited to host a relaxed, casual gathering where the focus is on spending quality time together. There will also be yard games for everyone to enjoy!

11) What type of food will be served?

BELGIUM 

After the marriage ceremony at the church, cake and bubbles will be provided.
For those attending the reception, we'll be serving a buffet inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. 

UNITED STATES

Abigail and William and excited to have a good old-fashioned pig roast with several sides inspired by small-town America. 

12) Will there be an open bar?

Yes, beer and wine will be provided at both the Belgian and US celebrations. 

13) Where are you registered?

We are currently registered on Amazon but have a list of additional items to consider on our registry page.

14) Can I ship a gift to you instead of bringing it?
